Meet Actor and Producer James Stokes – From Hawkins to Crystal Lake!

Deep South Para-Comi-Con is thrilled to announce a fantastic guest joining us: actor and producer James Stokes! His diverse career spans thrilling TV series, impactful films, and even takes on iconic horror roles.

James’s acting journey began in high school with performances in Alice in Wonderland and Grease. He truly rekindled his passion in 2015 with the short film The Switch, and he hasn’t looked back since!

You’ve seen James in a variety of exciting projects. He’s appeared in the international action film Adrenaline as Steve, the husband of an FBI agent on a dangerous mission. He also had a role as an umpire in the biographical film The Silent Natural, which tells the inspiring story of deaf baseball player William Hoy. On television, James has graced shows like Snapped and Mark of a Killer, and eagle-eyed fans may have even spotted him in a role on the hit Netflix series Stranger Things! Most recently, horror fans will recognize him as he’s taken on the chilling role of Jason Voorhees in Voorhees: Night of the Beast.

Beyond his captivating on-screen presence, James has expanded his horizons as a producer, bringing several compelling stories to life. His producer credits include the films Louisa, Reunion from Hell, Reunion from Hell 2, and Grievance.

Adding to his fascinating background, James also spent three years riding professionally with the International Pro Rodeo Association, worked as a disc jockey for five years, and dedicated 13 years as a licensed EMT.
